My copy of the National Flash Fiction Day 2021 Anthology, LEGERDEMAIN, edited by Santino Prinzi and Nod Ghosh, arrived in the mail yesterday. It looks great, and I'm so pleased to see three fellow Quills included (Claire Polders, Jolene McIlwain, Lisa Ferranti).    Excited that my short lyric essay "Forgotten Cities" has been accepted by The Café Irreal, where it will come out on August 1. I reread Invisible Cities when I was working on a flash by Hart L'Ecuyer for CRAFT that was dedicated to Italo Calvino, and was struck by what I'd underlined when I read it in my twenties, and inspired to think about the workings of memory and my past selves and past cities. This was just the second magazine I sent "Forgotten Cities" to. I published a micro in The Café Irreal a long time ago, and have always loved their brand of surrealism ("irrealism"). They're well established, very international, and have been online since 1998.
